How I put a fussy baby to sleep
A while back I was meeting up with a girlfriend at her house. She wasn’t there but her teenage daughter was. The daughter was babysitting and was really upset because the baby had been crying for an hour and she couldn’t get her to settle down. I had learned how to get a fussy baby to sleep. I said, “Let me try.” I sat down in a chair and put the baby laying with her belly facing my belly. The picture on the left is the best I could find that would show the position to have the baby (of course without the baby carrier) and with you sitting down. Then I put myself into a deep trance using self-hypnosis. Within about 5 minutes the baby was asleep. The key here is that you have to calm yourself down because the baby senses your emotions.
Learning Self-Hypnosis
Learning Self-Hypnosis is really easy. It’s great to know because you can use it under a lot of different circumstances. It can help you get to sleep, relax you when you get a shot or are in the dentist chair.
This is the mantra I use in my head: (Below is an audio that shows an example)
Relaxing, relaxing more and more relaxed
Feel that relaxation spreading through your whole body
As you’re going deeper and deeper into trance.
Relax yourself a bit at a time beginning with the toes, feel the toes go limp and relaxed.
Then the rest of the foot. The ankle, the calf, the knees, the thighs and on up into your pelvic area.
Relaxing, relaxing more and more relaxed.
The abdomen the stomach the chest
The buttocks the back
Then the fingers the wrist your forearm and upper arm and shoulders
And on up to your neck until your neck is very limp and relaxed
Then the jaw, the lips the cheeks, the eyes, the forehead and on up over the top of the head.
The entirety of your body is relaxed now.
Just as relaxed as an old rag doll appears to be and you really are that relaxed as you go deeper and deeper into trance.
And now, you are in bed as a young child. And you get up and go to the closed where you find a door at the back of the closet. A door that you can never find during your normal waking reality. Opening that door and stepping through you find yourself at the top of a stone stairway winding down and around.
Going down that stone stairway you are going down and around, down and around. Until you find yourself at the bottom on a landing in a large cave with an underground lake and a boat in the water next to the landing.
Stepping into that boat and laying down you float along with the boat rocking up and down and back and forth.
Floating thru an opening in the cave you float peacefully down a river, hearing birds singing, and rabbits rustling in the brush.
Bumping up to the river bank and getting out of the boat you walk toward a tree where you find a bench with a large book and a thick marker.
Writing in the book your name on the left side of the page and trance on the right side of the page, then your name on the left side and trance on the right. Turning the page you write trance on the left side of the page and deeper on the right side. Trance on the left and deeper on the right. Continue on until you turn the page. Then write deeper on the left and deeper on the right all the way down the page.
Now you are deep in a trance and can do whatever you want to do. Go to a healing cave, go to a house where you can act out your desires, get into an elevator to take you down even deeper or anything you want to do.
