My husband’s Diabetes and Keto

My husband got very ill and lost 40 pounds in 1 month.  The doctor at the VA said it was diabetes and when his numbers came back his A1C was 14.3 and his blood sugar was 523.  The doctor said he didn’t know how he was walking around.

Diabetes medicine picture They gave him the pills and told him how to take the shots and sent him on his way.  After I listened to all that, I told him that there was no way I was going to have him take that stuff for the rest of his life.

Looking for Alternative Ways to Lower Blood Sugar

We started researching how to lower his numbers naturally.  We found the Keto Lifestyle.  He is doing Lazy Keto (which means he doesn’t keep track Lazy Keto mealsof fats, proteins, and carbs) and just works at keeping it close to the suggested 70% fat, 20% proteins, & 10% carbs.

After the 1st and 2nd month his blood sugar was down to the 160’s to 140’s.  By the 3rd month they were down to the 120’s.  Then after the 5th month he is now ranging between 98 and 116.  I would say that it has been a success.  Since going back to the doctor and getting tests his health is showing up as really great.

Update:

Was talking to an acquaintance the other day and commented on my husbands success with Keto.  She said that her brother had the same problem and that he was able to bring his numbers down with cinnamon pills.  Here is a link to some Cinnamon Capsules on Amazon.
