Lazy Keto Meals

5/18/18 Loss: 7 lbs.

Backing off of the strict keto has helped A LOT!  My energy is back and I have lost about 7 lbs. but I am already tired of bacon and eggs.  Looks like I will be doing lazy Keto meals.

Many, many years ago (maybe 15) I stopped eating meat, pork, and chicken.  I was working at a health food advertising agency and had a lot of down time during the day so I would read the health food publications that came in.  One was Vegetarian Times and the stories they had in that magazine turned me off to meat.

Eating Vegetarian lasted about 10 years until I met my husband and he talked me into eating chicken saying that if I would start eating chicken he would stop eating beef and pork.  So, I started eating chicken and he stopped eating his meat…for only 2 weeks!  But his subterfuge worked and I was Lazy Keto mealshooked and continued eating just chicken and fish for the next 5 years…Until KETO.

A typical Lazy Keto day is:

Breakfast – Bacon & Fried eggs in lots of Kerry Gold Butter

Snack – Walnut Pieces

Dinner – Chicken Broiled with BBQ sauce or

Salad with ground beef sprinkled with Lawry’s season salt and a Mayonnaise mixed with ketchup dressing or

Chicken cut into pieces with fried onion and eggs

Maybe not so much strict Keto but I’m a firm believer that if I can’t eat at least some of what I really like I won’t stay on the Keto Lifestyle and I’m still losing weight and my energy level is up so “onward and upward”.
